Defining moments
when our answers change who we are

a chance for us to live His way
Those precious moments
when we can choose to let God in

letting Him shape us each day

It seems that our lives
are a series of hard questions
and we only see the answers
in our life's reflections
Not every question changes
the essence of who we are
and not every answer changes
the path we walk or how far
But there are those special moments
when the road splits
when everything seems scary
and every answer fits

Each day of our lives
we go about our business
searching for the meaning of life
looking for peace and happiness
and when we least expect it
we hear our names called
we haven't always answered
we know we've sometimes stalled
But now we know the voice
and we recognize His whispering
with courage we answer the moment
"Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening"

Our choices change our lives
Praise God for defining moments
His call gives us direction
Praise God for defining moments
And nothing changes us more
Praise God for defining moments
Than His Son's resurrection
